My vw caddy was written off after an accident and it was the most comfortable vehicle I'd ever driven. I am now looking to get a new van , this time as I've retired and no longer retired I won't be getting one on commercial insurance but I still want a caddy or similar. A 5 seater as will be our only vehicle but as my hobby is upholstery it needs to have space to carry a chair or two and associated equipment. My budget would be up to €18000. Any suggestions, most I see are motibility suited which I don't want.
Hi Julie,
There are a few examples of the Caddy Maxi Life in the classifieds that would do the job for you, without being wheelchair-suitable vehicles. However, they're all quite old if you're sticking to your budget so we've found a more modern alternative that we reckon would be perfect for you. It's the Peugeot Rifter. There are loads around, and it can even be had with a longer wheelbase for more interior space. Do a search on Carzone and you'll see what I mean.
As ever, we recommend test driving any car you're considering buying to ensure you like it.
