I like the look of the SEAT Alhambra...
Hi I'm looking to buy a 7 seater car in the next month or so and the year I'm looking at is between 2012 and 2015. I have been told to stay away from Peoguet, Ople, Citroen, Fiat, Renault and Nissan. I like the look of the Seat Alhambra, VW Sharan and both ford galaxy and S max. I have been told the fords have a peoguet engine in them which makes me want to stay away from them aswel. I'm able to check oil and tyres and that's about it so I'm looking for a reliable car for next 3/5 years. Thanks.

Hi John,
I wouldn’t automatically stay away from the Fords because of their engines. The 1.6 and 2.0-litre engines, shared with Peugeot, Citroen, Mazda and Volvo, are actually pretty reliable as long as they’re kept properly serviced (something that could be said for all modern engines). The Alhambra would be an excellent choice though - massive inside, well made and pleasant to drive. Plus, those sliding side doors are hugely useful.
