I like the look of the Insignia, but...
I have €10k to spend on a family saloon. I like the styling of an Insignia, but am concerned at the 3/5 ranking on Honest John. Is it a poor choice? Is a Mondeo or something else a better bet?

It depends what you want. The Insignia is a decent car and suffers from few major reliability issues. A Mondeo of the same vintage is less good looking, but better to drive and a little more spacious, and also solidly reliable. That said, if it’s ultimate reliability you want, get a Toyota Avensis or a Mazda6.
