I hope you meant you bought the car abroad and will be importing it into Ireland, as a dealer should not be selling on a car on foreign plates - the car must be registered in Ireland before it can be sold here. 

Assuming all is ok, you will need to make a reservation with the NCTS to have the car inspected to ascertain how much VRT is payable. Depending on where the car came from, there may also be VAT and import duty owed.
