I have recently moved to Ireland from India...
Hi - I have recently moved to Ireland (End of Sep-23). I have my international drivers license done from India, I know with my international drivers license I can drive for 12 months but can I buy the car immediately? and I can still get my car insurance without any issue? Buying a car is the easy part and it doesn't matter what licence you have for that. Saying that, I'd hold fire until you know for sure that you can afford the insurance. Ring a few of the larger insurers, or a broker, and explain you have an international licence to make sure it's not going to be an issue.
