I have €33000 budget to buy new company car. I currently have a 151 VW Passat 1.6TDI Bluemotion Comfortline. I drive approx 45 - 50000 Kms per year and am at a bit of a loss as to what model to change to. I like the Passat but, since the model hasn’t changed, would be getting the same car with newer Reg. I have 2 teenage kids, so rear space, legroom and boot space are a high requirement. I’m looking for best bang for your buck. What would you recommend?
Hi Chris,
The thing is, it’s hard to beat the Passat in all of the areas you’re looking for. It’s a really good, well-rounded car. That said, there are some good alternatives. Have you considered a Skoda Superb? All of the mechanical strengths of the Passat, but with even more space in the back seats and a humungous boot. In fact, it’s hard to think of a more teen-friendly option. You could also look at the Mazda 6 (more stylish than the Passat, but not as roomy as the Skoda), or the Toyota Avensis (plain and simple, but very roomy and reliable).
