Your Sandero Stepway should be worth between €12,000 and €15,000, which is a good amount to sink into a new automatic hybrid. The best cars to go for are the Hyundai Ioniq, Kia Niro and Toyota Prius, all offered in hybrid form and plug-in hybrid form, the latter being more expensive. You’re therefore opting for the simpler hybrid models (which do not require plugging in to be recharged), which start at around €31,000. The best way to get value is to haggle hard with whichever dealer you choose and then try and narrow the gap between the trade-in value you’ll be offered for your Stepway (a few thousand Euro less than the prices we mentioned above) and the price of your desired car. You might therefore wish to look into PCP deals, as you can use the Sandero as a substantial deposit on setting up a deal on either.
