I can't get back my deposit!
I gave Euro 500 deposit on a car on Sat. I was unable to pay the rest. I notified the garage on Monday morning and explained everything. they will not give me back any of the deposit,It is a weeks wages for us we have 3 children and mortgage is there anything i can do please.

In a strict legal sense, the dealership is under no obligation to hand back your deposit — they are technically non-refundable. However, I would have thought that a major dealer would have had no trouble in doing so once you’d explained your circumstances.
