Both are good cars, and the sensible side of our brains says buy the Hyundai, as it's roomier, will still have four years of its original warranty and will be cheaper to run. 

For all that though, we'd go for the Volvo. They tend to be reliable, they're hugely comfortable, drive well and, if you're hauling kids around, nothing is safer.
