How's the Nissan Pulsar?

How is Nissan Pulsar as compared to polo, mazda2, fiesta in terms of reliability, driving and maintenance cost.

Our answer:

Hi Guarav,

Well, the Pulsar is actually a very different car to the Polo, Mazda2 and Fiesta. It’s much, much bigger and is actually a competitor to the likes of the Golf, Mazda3 and Focus. In terms of reliability, it should be excellent as Nissans are rarely poorly built, although as with the Qashqai (with which the Pulsar shares many components) we’d keep an eye on suspension wear and tear and blown turbos on the 1.5 dCi diesel engine. Maintenance costs should be very reasonable, and to drive the Pulsar isn’t bad – it's comfortable and capable, but not what you’d call interesting.
