I'm afraid it's not a job for someone that has no experience in such things. The damper is mounted with the spring and the latter needs to be safely removed after the unit is removed from the car. It requires spring clamps and can be dangerous if not done properly. We'd highly recommend bringing the car to a mechanic to have this work done.
