How to maintain my SEAT's engine?

Hi, my ateca 2020 150hp 2.0 4drive, is with 123000km in the clock. What do i need to check for engine to run good. And the diesel engine is not so quiet is normal in Seat Ateca.

Our answer:

Hi there,

Obviously we can't diagnose the sound of the car remotely so if you think it's unusually noisy I suggest you bring it to a mechanic to have it looked at.

In terms of maintenance, the most important thing to do is change the oil and oil filter regularly. SEAT recommends at least every 15,000km or once a year (whichever comes first) .

Every three years, the oil in the four-wheel-drive system's differential should be replaced; every two years you should replace the brake fluid and clutch fluid; the fuel filter should have been replaced at 90,000km (do it if it has not been done); the air filter should be done every 90,000km or six years and the DSG's oil should have been changed at 120,000km.

When the car hits 210,000km you should change its timing belt as well.
