Provided it has been regularly serviced and maintained according to the manufacturer’s schedule, that engine should be fine for another 80,000km and a whole lot more besides. The only thing you might want to watch for is a blocked Diesel Particulate Filter, as it hasn’t done a lot of miles in eight years – symptoms include rough running and idling, loss of power during a test drive (going into ‘limp-home mode’) and a warning light on the dashboard.
