Don’t buy anything without a full service history and make sure that the 1.6-litre diesel engine has had a really high-quality oil whenever it’s been topped up. The 1.6 is powerful enough for the body – just. Pulling caravans could be a bit of a stretch and you won’t win any Traffic Light Grand Prix, but it’s fine in day-to-day driving and very economical.
