We can only help you estimate it, as nobody can know for sure what Open Market Selling Price (OMSP) Revenue places on the car. This is the value it believes the car is worth after registration in Ireland - and it's especially difficult to guess for relatively rare cars.

With that in mind, for the purposes of our calculations, let's assume an OMSP of €35,000.

It's safe to say that the car's CO2 rating will put it into the top band for VRT, at 41 per cent of the OMSP. That would be €14,350 before the NOx levy, which could add a couple of grand more.

And make sure you understand the VAT and import ramifications of importing from the UK as well before you commit to the purchase.
