As a trade in, your 151 saloon is going to be worth around about €13,000, but there is no 171 Astra saloon - Opel discontinued the saloon body style when the new Astra arrived so if you're being offered a saloon Astra with a 171 plate you need to remember it's the old shape model, and not as good as the current hatchback. That will need you to find probably around €10,000 to bridge the gap between your car and the new one, but can we recommend forsaking the saloon body and going instead for the newer Astra either as a hatch or an estate? It's a far superior car and one of our favourites.
