2016 golf reg XXXXXX I want to import into Ireland from the UK What would it cost me Golf 1.6 diesel
Hi Bob,
Our search through Cartell.ie revealed that as a 2016 Volkswagen Golf BlueMotion with a CO2 rating of 99g/km. That is presumably an NEDC figure, so it will be 'uplifted' by Revenue to 125g/km, meaning 15.75 per cent VRT. That's of the Open Market Selling Price (OMSP) according to Revenue. That's difficult for us to estimate of course, but let's say it's €19,000. That would mean VRT of about €3,000.
The closest car we can find a NOx figure for has it at 57mg/km, which would mean a NOx levy on this car on top of the VRT of €455.
These are very much estimates based on the information we have to hand and we'd recommend you do your own research before committing to a VRT inspection.

Ask us anything motoring related and please provide as much information as possible so we can give you the most accurate advice.
