With that kind of mileage, a 2008 Santa Fe would generally be worth around €4-5,000, but if it needs a new engine, then that kind of goes out the window, and much will depend on (a) how expensive a replacement engine will be and (b) why it needs a new engine in the first place. A figure of 220,000km is a lot, but a car that’s been properly cared for shouldn’t need an engine replacement unless it’s been abused or there is something more significant wrong with it.
