How much is my Passat worth as parts?
My 2008 2Ltr Passat has a computer fault and wont start, how much would it be worth for parts if worst comes to worst? 170k miles on it

Well, you could get as much as €4,500 'scrappage' if you traded it in against a new car, with some of the offers that are around at the moment. Scrap value is a bit of a piece of string question and really relies on how much of a demand any one particular breakers' yard has for Passat parts. Have you had a quote for getting it fixed though? Repair costs are usually cheaper than the cost of changing to a new car.
