How muc is my Passat worth - for insurance...
Hi, I was wondering if you can help me. My car is part of an insurance claim and the valuation is being questioned. It's a 2010 Volkswagen Passett, black, 1.6 blue motion diesal, 170,000 miles, in perfect condition with timing belt just done before the accident. OK, we need to be very, very careful here as we’re a website specialising in second hand cars, and not insurance assessors. Sadly, all we can offer is an opinion, a guideline, whereas the assessor’s word is as good as law. The absolute top value for a 2010 Passat hovers around the €9-10,000 mark, but there are plenty of similar or even identical cars on the market for as little as €4,000. That would suggest an average value of around €6,500 to €7,000, but again, as I say, that’s just an opinion based on what else is available on the market, and nothing more.
