How many miles should a 2010 car have on it , is 130,000 to many please advise thanks

Our answer:

Hi Josie,

That’s either 14,400 miles or 14,400km (9,000 miles) per annum, and neither of these figures are out of the ordinary. It just suggests that the previous owner(s) did lots of motorway miles, which will be good news for any car (motorway miles put the least amount of stress on a car’s components) and particularly good news if it’s a diesel, as it means you won’t have any blocked Diesel Particulate Filter issues. As long as the car is in good condition inside and out, has a spotless service history and maintenance record, and it’s priced accordingly for its mileage, there’s no reason to avoid it.
