There is no allotted maximum mileage on any car – they can, in theory, go on indefinitely. The key to buying a good, used, high-mileage car is to check its service history and maintenance file fastidiously, and take it for a test drive to see how it performs. If it passes all these tests, and the price is appropriate for the miles, then there is no reason to avoid a car with anything like 300,000km and more on the clock.
