How long will an Astra's chain last?
Hello I am wondering how long the timing chain on an opel astra will last before needing a change Thank you Nicholas

I'm afraid there's no way to answer that definitively, even if you had given us full details of the car. Chains are in theory designed to last the life of the engine and unless they are noisy, or a stretch in the chain is causing other problems, there's no need to think about changing them. Just make sure you do change the engine's oil and oil filter regularly to give the chain the best chance of a long, hassle-free life.
