What is the longevity of a 2015 Ford focus SE? It has had a few recalls and already had to have the transmission rebuilt. It has around 92k miles on it and I drive on average 20-23k miles per year. So far since the tranny repair it's been driving decent but I'm skeptical if it will continue to last or not. I don't trust the vehicle but I have to drive a lot for work and really rely on it. Not sure if I should go upside down and get a different vehicle or not as I need it in order to do my job.
Hi Liv,
There is no capped maximum lifespan to any car – they can go on indefinitely, with the right care and attention, or they can fail prematurely early if you’re simply plain unlucky. Sounds like you’ve spent a lot on the Focus’ transmission rebuild and so, as it is running well, you’d be best off keeping it for a few years to protect your investment to a degree. Look to change it in within about three years’ time would be our advice.
