How is the Skoda diesel on short hops?
How is the skoda disel on short journeys I live less than a mile from work and will mostly use it for pleasure

Hi David,
No diesel engine is especially good at short journeys. Short trips don’t give a diesel engine enough time to warm up properly, so you don’t get the proper efficiency out of it, and worse, you’re looking at a clogged diesel particulate filter down the line that can be expensive to fix. If you fancy a Skoda for short journeys, get one with the excellent 1.2 TSI turbo petrol engine.
