How good is the 2012 Mazda2?
The new 2015 Mazda2 is beyond my price range. How does the older model, say 2012 compare?

Really, really good. It may not (quite) have the sophistication and style of the new 2 but the old 2 is a cracker - reliable, frugal, terrific to drive and much more spacious than it looks at first glance.
