How do you rate the 2008 Mercedes C-Class?
Thinking of buying a 2008 Mercedes C 220; how do you rate these please?

Thankfully, given the unloved reputation of the previous C-Class (the one with the roundy headlights) for reliability the 2007-onwards one seems to have been much more robust.
Auto gearboxes and the crankshaft can play up, causing the engine to go into limp-home mode, but it's usually a software problem, not a mechanical one. The electronic keys can also give some bother but that's about it. Usual rules - make sure it's an automatic and has an unimpeachable service history.
