There's no foolproof guide or formula, unfortunately. You could use the Carzone Value my car service as a starting point, but I'd also suggest going through the Carzone database to find other cars similar to your own to get a feel for its value. Bear in mind that the advertised selling prices will be much higher than you'll get offered if you're trading in your car, as the trader must prepare the car for sale, provide a warranty and turn a profit as well.
