I have a 2017 (172 reg) Hyundai Tucson, 1.6l petrol, Comfort Plus spec, just under 32k km clocked. No finance outstanding. Perfectly good car but we're expecting twins (and have 2 small children already) so unfortunately we need to upgrade to something larger. I have a possible option on a Skoda Kodiaq 7 seater but I can't use the Tucson in part exchange. Private sale would get me the best price but difficult to manage on top of the pregnancy! How would you recommend selling? Thanks!
Hi Alan,
You’re going to be better off part-exchanging the Tucson, in terms of your life priorities at the moment, but we’re guessing the reason you can’t is that the Kodiaq you’re considering is from a private seller and not a garage. Your Tucson is going to be worth around €23,000 as it is, so – as painful as it may be – if you want the Kodiaq then you’re going to have to put the Hyundai up on the market now. Unless you can find another suitable Kodiaq being sold by a trader…
