Actually not bad at all, and by going for a petrol 320i instead of a diesel 320d, you’re escaping potential turbo and timing chain problems. Just make sure that all the electrics are in good order, check to see if a previous owner has fitted standard instead of run-flat tyres (not a specific problem, but you need to know and they may not have re-set the tyre pressure monitoring system) and never, ever buy one that doesn’t have a fully stamped-up service history.
