Hi, looking at getting a 2011/12 be caddy but for private use need something to get a mtb and kayak about the place, but not sure how easy it is to privately tax is it cc or co2? is it nct or doe? And insurance how difficult is it to get it insured thanks
Hi Keith,
Insurance is almost an impossible question to answer, but the Caddy can be bought as either a commercial vehicle, which you can then tax privately (reverting back to the old by-engine-capacity system) or as a passenger-ised Caddy Life, which comes with windows all round and proper back seats. Probably best to go for the Caddy Life, if you’re going to use it as a private car. It keeps things simpler.
