A number of things could cause that and, sadly, they'll all cost a little money to fix. You really need to get the car to a good mechanic for a look and estimate the cost of repair. You may get away with topping up the oil regularly to keep you going, but odds are that something big will go wrong and you'll end up with a larger repair bill.
