Have autos good resale value?
Hi I was wondering whether automatic cars have good resale value. I am looking at buying one but was wondering if their resale value is better or worse. Thanks

It has always depended on the type of car. Generally speaking a 'normal' family car is considered more desirable with a manual gearbox, while a sports saloon or executive style car (BMW, Merc, Audi etc) is considered more desirable with an automatic.
In family cars it's starting to even out - enough people now want an automatic and there are few enough around that the values pretty much equalise. At the other end, a premium style car will always be worth less with a manual.
