Golf GTI or GTD?
Would you consider a Golf GTI 245 DSG over a Golf GTD 184 DSG. I ask this considering the more expensive tax and less MPG and more expensive fuel at the pumps. Which is the better car and better to drive

Hi Paddy,
The GTI is by far the better car. The GTD is, in feel, a quick Golf diesel. The GTI is a GTI, and the gap in road tax is not as steep as once it was. Plus you can get 45mpg from the GTI if you go gently.
