On a pure driving fun theme, Fiesta ST every time. Not since the Mk2 five-cylinder Focus have we truly loved the bigger fast Ford, and the Mk6 and Mk7 Fiesta STs are absolutely brilliant. The newest model Fiesta ST, launched in 2018, is easier to live with but it will cost more money. It’s still better value all round than the Focus, however, and if you don’t need the rear passenger space and a bigger boot, the Fiesta is the one to go with.
