Test drove new Ford Fiesta Active, Seat Arona and Kia Stonic. Changing my Ford Fiesta Titanium 161 Diesel, I drive 20k approx on country roads and usually only myself in the car as kids have their own cars now. Not getting a great trade in value with my car if I leave Ford but then I am going up in price of those cars. Have the budget but garages are trying to get me to sign up to their finance packages, PCP with Arona 1.9% or % finance with Kia which is excellent. I would be paying full amount for the Ford Active. Another option is to get another Titanium but I did like the height when test driving those 3 cars. Any thoughts or advice to help me decide on this dilema?
Hi Yvonne,
On the basis of how they drive, the Fiesta and the Arona are nicer than the Stonic – in our opinion – and, if you want to sit high, then the SEAT seems to be the better choice. In terms of finance deals and trade-in values, it’s harder to say without the specific details in front of us, but you can only go with what you think is the best value and it seems strange that Ford won’t offer you a better price to stay with them; so, in all honesty, we say go for the Arona. You want to choose PCP if you plan to change your car in two or three years’ time, as it’s the best way of financing a new machine in such instances – however, check your annual mileage is permitted under any PCP deal.
