Estimated VRT on this Cayman?
Hello, I’ve just purchased a Porsche Cayman in the uk and I’m in the process of registering it in Ireland. I’m trying to gather some valuations as the VRT has come back much higher than I was expecting. Would you be able to give me an estimated figure as I can’t request this on the app as the car is still on UK registration plates. Make & Model: Porsche Cayman 2.7L Manual Date of first registration: 01/03/2013 Odometer: 26278km Thanks for any help and information.

We can tell you that the Cayman 2.7 manual (987) emitted 222g/km, which makes its VRT requirement sit in Band F, or 34 per cent of the Open Market Selling Price. Valuing the car is trickier, but at that age with that mileage, we have to reckon on it being in the ballpark of €30,000 to €35,000, which means a VRT bill of anything between €10,200 and €11,900.
