Does the Mondeo still have clutch problems?
Hi, I used to own a 2008 1.8 diesel Mondeo Zetec. I got rid of it after the clutch broke with only 50,000km. I am now looking at a 2.0-litre version from 2012. Am I mad? Do you know if the clutch kit still gives trouble? The one I am looking at has 61,000 miles on the clock.

Yes, there seems to be a common issue on the Mk4 Mondeo when it comes to clutches wearing out prematurely. Apparently the original Ford parts are quite weak but replacement ones are much better, as long as you buy from a reputable brand. If the car you're looking at comes with a warranty you should be OK.
