You've not told us the year or engine, so we're going to go with the 2008-2012 2.0 CDTi diesel model.

It isn't the most reliable unit, with plenty of known issues. Most of them are electrical, but on top of that, the internals of the intake manifold are known to fail causing all kinds of other issues. In short, if you're serious about buying one of these, make sure there are no warning lights on when the engine is running and no strange noises from under the bonnet. Ensure it has plenty of power, too. If in doubt, get a good mechanic to give it a look over and don't settle for a car that you find an issue with, as there are plenty more on the market.
