Does the 2016 Ibiza have a long-life belt too?

Actually, the Ibiza underwent a major update for the 2017 model year, so there are differences for the 2016 model, including recommended service intervals for the timing belt. The 1.0-litre engine's belt should be checked at 240,000km regardless of time, and then every 30,000km after than until a mechanic reckons it needs changing. Again, if it were my car, I'd be getting it checked earlier than that.
