Does my Skoda have a belt or chain?
My Skoda Fabia is a September 2012 1.2 HTP. Will that have the chain or a Cam Belt fitted ? On looking it has a belt fitted to rollers etc on the outside of the left hand side of the engine ? Many thanks.

Hi George,
A timing belt is always hidden behind covers, so you wouldn't be able to see it; it's most likely that you are looking at the auxiliary drive belt for the alternator and air conditioning, etc.
According to our information, that car's engine has a timing chain, not a belt.
