Does my Prius import have an immobiliser?
I have 2014 Japanese import Toyota Prius Alpha (7 Seater). Insurance company wants to know if that comes with factory fitted immobilizer. Manual is Japanese, so can't really make anything out of that. Is there any other way to confirm about immobilizer?

Hi Waseem,
It's highly unlikely that your car has an immobiliser. While nearly all new cars sold in Europe since 1998 have factory-fitted immobilisers, the car crime rate in Japan is so low that they are not the norm at all there, even in more modern cars such as yours.
