Does my Polo have a chain or a belt?
have a 1.0 petrol polo 152 reg, do I have a timing chain or belt? when is a change due , currently 105000km on clock.

Hi John,
Both the TSI turbo and the non-turbo 1.0-litre engines in the Polo use timing belts. The advice is for them to be checked at 240,000km and then every 30,000km after that for signs of wear. A good mechanic will then advise if it needs to be changed.
