I have a Skoda Octavia Estate Petrol 2012 with under 40000 miles. Does timing belt need a change?
Hi Norman,
Most petrol versions of the Octavia use timing chains. The non-turbocharged 1.4-litre petrol engine of that era does have a belt, so we're assuming that's what you have. The belt's condition must be checked at 90,000km by a mechanic and then every 30,000km until it's deemed necessary to change it.
