Does my Mokka have a timing belt?
I have a 64 plate Mokka CDTI 4x4 does this have a timing chain or belt please and does it need to be changed? Many thanks

Hi Michelle,
It depends on which engine is under the bonnet. The newer 1.6 CDTi unit has a timing chain, while the older 1.7 diesel uses a timing belt. The latter should be changed at least every 150,000km or six years - whichever comes first.
