2012 E250 AMG Coupe has size 255 rear tires and 235 front tires. Is there any reason why I could not have same tire size front and back - any car performance issues? Reason I ask is that its difficult to get alloys to suit. Thanks
Hi Frank,
This is not an uncommon thing on performance rear-wheel-drive cars at all; they often have mismatched tyres, because the rear tyres will be wider and lower-profile, to maximise grip and traction. You could probably fit the same-sized tyres on both axles but the car will not drive as well as it should, as a result, as it was designed to have wider tyres on the back.
