Does my Mazda have a timing belt?
I have a 2013 Mazda 6 2.2d. it says online that it is a timing chain but looking at the engine, it appears to be a timing belt? Am I wrong or are some models fitted with a timing belt? Thanks

I can confirm without any doubt that all versions of the 2.2 diesel engine in the Mazda6 use timing chains. That's for the older or new model (2013 was a changeover year).
You can't easily tell by looking into an engine bay if a car has a timing chain or belt, as both are hidden from view and access under enclosed covers.
