I have a vauxhall Insignia ecoflex diesel 2017. Could you tell me if it has a timing chain and where it is situated
Hi Peter,
Timing chains are usually (if not always) at the 'front' of an engine under a sealed alloy cover, which is usually made up of several sections and cannot be easily and quickly removed in one go. They are not visible without removing some of the cover.
In any case, if your car has the 2.0-litre diesel engine, then it has a timing belt, not a chain. The belt is behind a set of plastic covers and is easier to access for a visual check, though almost as much work to replace.
