Does my Golf have a timing belt?
Hi i have a 2011 Golf 1.2 cc - i have 137152 km on clock do I need to replace timing belt? My mechanic says i will have to get it done soon

Our information is that your car's engine uses a timing chain, not a belt. Chains don't usually have a set replacement schedule as they are designed for the life of the engine.
