Does my Astra have a timing chain?
Hi guys, I have a 2013 Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer, recently, I am hearing a slight slapping / knocking sound when driving. I have asked local mechanic what it might be, he said timiing chain. However, I thought this model had a timing belt ?? Any advice, Thanks

I'm afraid you've not told us which engine is in your car. For example, the 1.6-litre diesel uses a timing chain, but others use timing belts.
